The Education for Ministry (EfM) Program

An Overview...

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a program of theological education by extension of the School of Theology of the University of the South at Sewanee.  There are EfM groups meeting throughout the United States and countries worldwide.  The Diocese of Virginia currently sponsors 45 active groups in parishes throughout the Diocese.

Through individual and group study, worship, and the process of theological reflection, participants in an EfM community move toward a greater understanding of the fullness of God's kingdom and discover opportunities for responding to their own personal call to ministry.
